Carl, thank you so much for your kind words and your even kinder offer. Certainly I took no offense. I do make mistakes and it drives me to distraction that people are hesitant to point them out. I'd much rather one person tell me than let me leave them out there for the world to see :) You're also correct that it takes quite a bit of time to proofread things. It may not show, but I am quite the perfectionist on some things. I will certainly contact you about your offer.

Dear Lady Julia,

Thank you for your story. Your heart and mind come through clearly, even in such a short work. I have only done a little writing, but enough to know how much time and effort is required to both write a story, and then carefully craft and polish it. Your attention to the details -- grammar, punctuation, word usage --is obvious and appreciated. Your delight in both the experience of your man's submission within the story, as well as the experience of the reader outside of it, is apparent and pleasing as well. I've now spent over an hour reading various writings and blogs of yours, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. Well, not *thoroughly*, as I am currently in a public setting. However, the experience has been as pleasurable as propriety dictates.

Again, thank you Lady Julia. I'll be happily reading more and only too glad to leave feedback, since it's my nature to do so and part of what you seem to desire as well.

One of your posts solicits offers of service, if I understood correctly. I'd like to make such an offer of service to you. One skill that some find helpful is my ability to proofread. I'm also willing to edit if asked, though I'm not as experienced at editing as I am at mere proofreading. If you have a recent piece of writing that you would be willing to have me proofread for you as a sample of my work, I'd be grateful to offer my effort as a return of gratitude for all of the writing you have shared on your various sites.

(While you seem secure enough to not be threatened or insulted by the offer, please allow this tedious disclaimer. This offer is not meant to imply that your writing needs proofreading, but rather I'm guessing that proofreading takes your valuable time which you would rather spend on other priorities. Also, in my experience, the best writers like you generally want proofreading, and recognize its value.)

Your newest fan, though by no means your most important,
-Carl
